Antón Castellanos Usigli, DrPH, MPH
Antón Castellanos Usigli, DrPH, MPH, is a healthcare leader, consultant, and innovator. He is the founder and CEO of ACU Innovation and Consulting LLC, a New York City-based consulting firm specialized in healthcare strategy, innovation, evaluation, quality improvement, inclusivity, multi-sectoral partnerships, and patient insights. Some of his clients, past and present, include AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Los Angeles, CA; Fenway Health in Boston, MA; Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY; FHI 360 in Durham, NC; Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY; Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY; and Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico. He is also a Senior Director at AIDS Healthcare Foundation, leading its national pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) program, which is the largest program of its kind in the United States with a census of more than 16,000 active patients.
An Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, Antón is a global leader in the field of sexual health and wellbeing. As a Member of Reckitt's Global Advisory Board (GAB) for Sexual Health and Wellbeing since 2016, he has been at the forefront of several initiatives that have been critical for the advancement of programs and advocacy that incorporate sexual health, sexual rights and sexual pleasure equally.
He has also gained recognition for developing peer-led outreach strategies to link men who have sex with men to sexual health services through dating apps, both at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and at Fenway Health in Boston, MA. Antón's work in this area has benefited hundreds of patients with access to life saving HIV/STI prevention and care services, and has been featured by NBC News, The Guardian, Vox and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Since 2018, he is a Member of the Board of Directors at PFLAG National, currently serving as the Secretary of its Executive Committee. He founded the Youth Initiative Committee of the World Association for Sexual Health in 2011 and contributed in advocacy efforts that led to the global recognition of World Sexual Health Day.
Antón is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a former Cheng Fellow at the Social Innovation and Change Initiative of the Harvard Kennedy School. He also has a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Columbia University in New York City, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and has been a speaker in Congresses across twelve countries.
